The
manor house
has
always been lived in, and thus family life has also influenced the
structure of the property. The last alteration, to convert the house
into a hotel, has completely respected the original building. The
structure of the Building is as follows:

The
property is surrounded by an old stone wall, and comprises 40,000 square
meters of garden and groves, with two impressive hórreos, a keep, a
dovecot and a chapel. As the saying goes, "pigeon loft, chapel and
cypress tree make a manor house".

Within this extensive area there are ideal spots for
relaxed conversation, reading or walking.

There
are centuries-old trees and impressive varieties such as the chestnut
tree in the plot in front of the dovecot. |

"El año 2.001 iniciamos una nueva andadura
en nuestro Pazo. Siempre, desde 1.570, estuvo abierto a cuantos
familiares, amigos y vecinos desearon gozar de nuestra hospitalidad.
A partir de esa fecha y con el mismo espíritu de siempre hemos tratado de
ampliar el número de amigos para que pudieran disfrutar de esta su casa.
Ahora y muy a pesar nuestro, nos vemos obligados a tener que pasar factura
al terminar su estancia, pues se fueron ampliando de tal forma las
solicitudes que hacían insostenible seguir con nuestra ancestral costumbre
de recibir a “cama, mesa y mantel”.
A pesar de este “inconveniente”, no dudes en venir a nuestra casa; seguro
que gozarás de una estancia inolvidable que te hará desear repetirla en
muchas ocasiones.

The
rooms
On
the upper level of the main house you find the current gallery, the old
stables of the estate, which have been completely refurbished, and
converted into rooms full of personality.
Each of the rooms is dedicated to a
woman married to a male member of the Varela family. The decor is in
keeping with the tastes and interests of these women who left their mark
on the manor house.

main dining room is in the gallery leading from the main house to the
chapel, with large windows on both sides, which afford a magnificent,
