Manor
house (circa XVII) located in (Puebla de Trives / Pobra de Trives /
Poboa de Trives), a small mountain town located 17 km from the Ski
Resort of Manzaneda and equidistant between the cities of Orense and
Ponferrada highway or state road C-536

The
manor conserves the major part of its original structure, where the
principle façade has two large balconies that run along either side of
the the principle entrance where the tower is located. On the tower,
there is a large coat of arms carved from stone. |

The manor has a large
interior patio encircled by columns and the home also has to offer a
chapel with its original altar piece from the XVII century that is under
the advocation of the Virgen Carmen |

Rooms
There
are nine rooms of the manor dedicated to the Bed and Breakfast which
have been completely restored and decorated in the style and character
of the home.

All include there own private bath, heat, and television.

¿What
to do?
there
are various interesting destinations close by to visit. These include la
Ribeira Sacra (Sacred Riverside) with all of its monesteries as well as
the canyon of the river Sil, where you can both boat and go kayaking.
The province is both rich in its history and culture making it full of
interesting monuments (Romanic, Baroque, etc.) to visit.There are many
areas available to practice water sports on the numerous rivers and
reservoirs in the area.

You will also find and enjoy precious landscapes
marked by the surrounding mountains that are full of places to visit of
ecological interest. Also, close by there is a Ski Resort (la
Estación de Esquí de Manzaneda ) where you can ski during the winter
months, as well as, practice other mountains sports or adventure out on
foot or bicycle to many of the charming sites in the mountain range. Of
course, hiking is one of the best ways to enjoy the surrounding mountain
ranges. The Bed and Breakfast is centrally located close to many places
of interest and can be used as a home base to plan and make short one
day trips to places of interest such as Las Medulas, the National Park
of O Invernadeiro, El Caurel Mountains, or any of the surrounding cities
including Orense (the closest) or others in Galicia, the province of
Leon or the north of Portugal

The
Casa Grande de Trives is available for tourists and travelers following
the French and Portugese models, Chambres d’hotes and Turismo de Habitaçao respectively, where in Spain, this type of rural tourism is
generally refered to as Turismo Rural. In practical terms, they are
homes that funcion as small hotels (small hotels with charm, following
the term that was first used in an important tourist guide of Spanish
Hotels with its equivalent English edition “Small Charming Hotels.”.
There
are several restaurants avaliable in the town to eat lunch or
dinner, as well as, in all of the surrounding areas
