Galicia: Michelin and Relais & Chateaux

The Galician hotel has a lot to celebrate these days, but the joys seem to come accompanied by the occasional disgust. The inclusion of Quinta da Auga in the guide "Relais & Chateaux" is probably one of the best news that the Galician hotel could receive. This inclusion is obviously a clear recognition to the work done by the family Lorenzo Garcia and specifically by Maria Luisa, the restoration of the building is spectacular, and the décor mixing styles I think it achieves an effect of "home" is not easy to find in hotels this category.
Many hotels unify styles to such an extent that they lose all personality and interest, sometimes passed from purists and are so cold that makes you want to go, others claim to be rustic and ilcluyen in its decoration many rustic objects become artificial.

A Quinta da Auga to also achieved a perfect balance between modern objects from shops and antiques accessible to anyone not suitable for all budgets. As for the rooms, they say, it makes you want to stay in them, I have visited a suite and really worth just spending the night in the hotel rooms to enjoy.
Hotel Quinta da AugaPara hablar de restaurante escribiré otro artículo, pues creo que merece un espacio propio.

The Relais & Chateauxes guide a leader in hotels and restaurants, and sincerely believe that for those who appreciate the good hotels with good service is probably the best guide to hotels and restaurants in the world. It is true that the price range is not accessible to everyone, but it is difficult to provide a good service at a low cost escepcional box.
The other good news we have come in the world of gastronomy are undoubtedly the stars obtained by the Galician restaurants 'Alborada', in A Coruña, and 'Maruja Limon', in Vigo. The Michelin guide has graced two restaurants which certainly deserve it, we all wish we could go up to 11 the number of Michelin starred restaurants in Galicia, but has not been, to the surprise of many apparently not of all, we lost two star restaurants, "Casa Marcelo" in Santiago "Casa Pardo" in A Coruña, hopefully that recover quickly because they receive is hit hard, will have to correct what according to the Michelin guide guess neglected will give an explanation ....

The Michelin Guide is a reference, but do not forget that a few controversies surrounding it and personally do not have the weight that could be past, the emergence of the Internet and online reviews from customers are making people and not the take it so seriously.
